....is this the week we have a HUGE let down?

Every Coach fears it....that sneaky feeling during the week that his team JUST isn't locked in....that something is amiss in a way that he feels powerless to change.....While the Tigers prepare to create a lasting memory for their fanbase

BEWARE the Tigers.

Occasionally they do play us tough.

Their fanbase would fit in an old VW van....

it would take ten turnovers for them to even have a chance. Fulmer is gone. UT will kill Memphruska...boring, you can leave early etc. They suck even for Memphis. NOOOOOOO amount of poor preparation could lose this game and our guys do not poorly prepare.

This would be the equivilant of Chattanooga in the old days bad. NO FOOKIN WAY

Yeah, it's a small fanbase, but the fanbase that exists there has an extremely annoying inferiority complex. For that very reason, I hope we're up 63-0 at the start of the fourth quarter and Lane Kiffin is still calling play-action passes and deep bombs (with second- and third-team players, of course).

No, the game vs Memphis won't be close as this team is on a mission to become bowl eligible.

When the Vols played Ohio, the coaching staff was working on the JCE and the team as a whole was still dialing things in.

Memphis won't know what hit them.

I have faith in Kiffin, that he wont let them relax. I think tigers will play us tough, they will be playing over their head. But I think the defense will crush those dreams quickly and with a bamf.

Amen to that. They have a HUGE chip on their shoulder and blame UT for their football problems. I hope we hang 70 pts on them.

I hope we beat the shit out of them for being the total assholes they are about basketball. Isn't this game from their deal to play us home/away in basketball?

I think that is why CLK announced that a bunch of starting positions are now reopened to competition. He figures on the players being too busy trying to protect their jobs to go Fulmer (i.e. lazy and lackadaisical) on him.

Have been hearing that The Sliveball was influenced by this MemPiss UT hatred while he was Commish of Conference USA. MemPiss apparently blames UT for every ill that comes across its way. Sliveball has no love lost for UT and this may be part of that reason.

That makes total sense - I wasn't aware Slime came from Conference USA. He is a complete scumbag that matches with his Foley love.

I'd love to see 700 + total yards by the Vols and a big fat 0 for Tiger High.

Would be the worst loss in history...Memphis is in shambles.

I witnessed MTSU dismantle the Tigers and win by 17 in the second game of the season when Memphis was "at full strength." One-fourth of the team is now "injured" and holed up in the training room riding out this dismal season. Preseason expectations were at levels I haven't seen since DeAngelo Williams junior year in 2004. The QB who transferred from Washington State started the season at #1 and tanked against Ole Miss and again in Murfreesboro. All of Tommy West's SEC, ACC and Big Ten transfers were busts. The Tigers drew less than 4,000 fans for a nationally televised game against ECU last week. It was an embarrassment. Tiger fans have shifted into full basketball mode.

Kiffin will hang a 100 on them with the 2nd and 3rd teamers.

I would rather watch Fla. Int'l and MTSU in Murfreesboro.

Tommy West seems like a good guy and is a former Vol so I hope that instead of hanging 100 on Memphis that our subs get lots of playing time. A 40-point blowout by mid-3rd quarter would be a good time to empty the bench. It would be criminal to risk losing what remaining healthy starters we have left to injury once we get a comfortable lead against this opponent.

BEWARE the Tigers.

The way CLK talked after the USC game, it was as if we lost. He said he had to keep reminding himelf that we won the game. He wants to score big on national tv. I think we win by 50+. I saw E Carolina run all over these dorks. If we do not rush for over 300 yds I'll be pissed.
