I don't think there's any way we'd be 2-3 with Petersen at head coach. We need an innovator. The prostyle offense only works if you have superior talent. We aren't going to have that kind of talent on a consistent basis, even if we manage to keep our staff of recruiters intact, due to our geographical disadvantage.
Look at how Malzahn has breathed life into Auburn's anemic offense. Our offense looks exactly the same as last year. You'd swear Fulmer was still the coach.
Kiffin's ego is too big for him to ever admit he was wrong about Cromptard. His Fulmeresque arrogance will be his downfall. You have to be able to adjust in this day and age. Blind insistence on putting a square peg in a round hole doesn't make it fit. Kiffin is impotent when it comes to tweaking our scheme to suit our talent. He'd rather lose than risk change.

Look how a healthy Todd at QB has changed them as opposed to last year when he looked like Crompy out there.
You think we'd look any better if we had Todd?

Was my first choice during the coaching search. However, Petersen has made in known that he has roots in Boise and has not dreams of moving elsewhere. I dont get the feeling that hes a mercenary type coach, so I tend to believe him.

Hey Dayton,
Imagine how much fun it must be to be an Auburn fan right now. Hell, it was a lot more entertaining watching the James Banks juke around than this unrelenting tedium. I coached junior high basketball one year. No post players tried out for the team. I had ten guards. Passing the ball inside resulted in blocked shot after blocked shot, so we started using the full court press and the fast break offense. I bought some Paul Westhead videos and studied up. Once we got in shape, we were competitive. You have to make the best use of what you have. We have no quarterback (or at least that's what Kiffin wants us to believe), yet we are still running a system that emphasizes our weakest link.

Well you're a true genius!
Why dont you apply for a position on staff and help CLK coach em up? You're obviously an expert on big time college football coaching since you won some games coaching a junior high basketball team.
BTW, how long did it take you to adopt the full court press style of play when you had a team totally devoid of post players and forwards?

We don't have the talent and personnel to run a spread offense like Boise does. It's way too late now to change to a completely different offense even if, say, Nuke would make the world's greatest spread QB. We haven't recruited for the spread, our players don't know how to play the spread, it's just not a viable option. The real problem isn't the pro-set, it's the QB and the fact that he can't throw the ball, thus making our offense 1-dimensional. Unless we can solve our inability to pass the ball we can't make defenses stop stacking the line to stop the run and we'll continue to go 3-and-out and wear out our defense. Solve the QB problem and it will change everything.

Good point!!! Ignore the wise ass that thinks he knows it all. Th fact that he is turned against CLK so quickly says something about the person. I wonder if he turns on people around him just as easy.

Lets remember who the douche bags who are calling for kiffins head so soon. When he rights the Fulmtantic, and finally dry docks the piece of crap, and we return to the Proud Orange, lets remind them that they wanted to replace him in the first part of the first season.
