I say put him on a milk carton. According to Jones, Teague is faster. If he is faster and healthier and hasn't dropped a pass, he needs to be in the game.

Good point. I think this was one of the mistakes Kiffin can admit to making. Teague had been working with the QBs more lately with Moore and Jones out, so he probably had developed good timing with them.
I think Kiffin felt he needed the experienced guys out there for UCLA and found out they weren't ready to carry the whole load.

frank wilson said teague didn't see as much action because they needed run blocked WRs in the game most of the time.

fulmerball, part 2. I thought there was going to be a change in game day coaching with adjustments during the game? Same old shit!

That was the adjustment. Crompton had a meltdown so we had to run almost every play hence the use of Jones for run blocking. You did watch the game didn't you.

Pretty good adjustment by Monte after the first drive too. UCLA didn't do much after that except kick field goals off our turnovers.
I saw things I had never seen before and they were all employed at the right time.

On the opening drive UCLA was killing us with that trap/off-tackle thing to the left side of the line -- it worked two, maybe three times and then BOOM no more. They adjusted and that was the end of that.
In days of yore UCLA would have been able to find the soft spot in the defense and then pick at it all day(Florida 2006). Not anymore, though.

My question is why play someone who hasn't practiced and isn't fully recovered from injury? Maybe Jones is the second coming, but I'd have to think that a healthy Teague who's been working all week with JC gives us a better option than a rusty, less than 100% Jones.
