He's just a badass. You never would have heard this way of thinking coming from Philips Fulpuss.
Kiffin said the on-field competition helps empty the training room.
“It gets rid of superstar mentality and superstar status,” he said. “When you know that if you sit out, there’s a good chance someone takes your spot, I promise you get healthy faster.
“A lot of getting healthy is in your mind.”

It makes sense. Nobody competitive wants to lose playing time. I bet we see do see people recovering faster.

There is PF(huge) difference between being hurt or being injured.
I think that's what Bill Parcell's used to ask a kid.
It's called PUS factor.

This is where being a pro coach (even with Oakland) paid off. If you substitute "take your paycheck" for "take your spot", you see how easily that transfers.
Of course, at Bama, "take your paycheck" still applies.

Under Fulmer injury's were contagious....when you see other players sitting out of practice all of a sudden you come down with a injury so you can sit out of practice.....look back the past several years and see how many were out due to (injury's) durning game week but were ready to play come gameday....bullshit!!!.....with this staff...you snooze you lose....
