I talked to some players over the weekend, including him (who still has long hair), and he said it didn't go down like that. He said Lane said something about his hair to him, but he didn't know if he was going to have to cut it or not yet.

Also, apparently at junior day some of the coaches and a few players ripped their shirts off and started jumping and yelling and getting all the recruits hyped up. I would have loved to see that.

And when the coaches showed film to the recruits, they didn't show ANY UT film...it was all USC film. They said we're going to be the "USC of the south".

You mean coach Kiffin wouldn't want to totally imprezz the shizz out of the recruits with the past decade of Phil Foolmer filmum? :nutkick::ouch::poke:

Well hell, I would too. They can't show UT film because it does not represent the offense we are going to run (Thank God). They show a couple of rockets to the cheerleaders by JC, who will come to UT? I am sure they have shown a lot of USC and Tampa Bay film.

BTW smyurna, you still strong on the Wilks to WR rumor?

I wish that UT would plan on having song girls like USC rather than using short boy-like pixies as cheerleaders.:007:

the 3,948th replay of the 1998 National Championship. I would have thought that would have really impressed the recruits. I mean weren't they in diapers in 98.....

Agreed but that may be an issue of appropriate candidates and genetics. Don't get me wrong, UT has it's share of gorgeous women but the top 1% of every state moves to LA at some point. Some of them become actresses, some models.................some song girls.

It's what they look for, UT wants cheerleaders to be smallish, 90 lbs "little" girls, so they can tumble around. USC's song girls are more like young women, and their cheerleaders actually "cheer". UT has plenty of hot coeds that it could get to be like UT song girls. I wish they'd bring back the Vollettes!

Oh of course, I'm glad they showed all USC film. I didn't mean that as a slight against them. I absolutely love this staff.

And yeah, as of right now, Wilks will be a WR.

Is it true he is a vegetarian? He may be the only vegetarian OL that I've ever heard of.

Yes, that is true. It's a large part of the reason why he can't put on any significant bulk.

I wish we would bring back the Tennessee Walking horse...sort of like the Trojan Horse...plus play the Tennessee Waltz while the Horse prances around the field BEFORE the Game!

Actually, I have it on very good authority that the reason our cheerleaders are so tiny is that there were no PLANTATIONS in East Tennessee during the Antebellum period.

Stud can back me up on this as he is an expert on pygmies and all things racial having to do with size and genetics.

Wow - the thought of Tennessee having all those huge offensive linemen - equally huge talented TE's and RB's who RTDB is good news..

I wonder if Kiffin Sr. will go with the same style defensively?

Cody, you can wear your hair as long as you like. What I won't let you do is let your teammates down by being on a diet that limits your strength and physical development. If you want to remain a part of this team, I'd suggest you figure out how to start eating what our training staff tells you to. Your scholarship isn't for avoiding meat.
