Great to see a huge win for a change. The most points scored since 2000. Indictments on Coach Gut and crew are everywhere. You pick one: from guys getting to play that should have been on the field more (Thompson #42) to getting the most points since 2000, to nearly 700 yards total offense. Gee Fatass does it sting?! I sure hope so. Now you know how we (the fans) have felt for the past several years. The defense looks great, despite it being WKU, I see supreme confidence. 1 out of 11 on 3rd down conversions. Congras to Monte and company there. The freshmen, particularly Teague and Brown, looked very good. I am impressed. Crompton looks more confident. He threw the two picks, but I have a better feeling about him. He still threw 5 TD's. So good for him. But Crompton makes ill-fated decisions that I don't like. Lots of work still to do for him.

With all this said, nothing much can be taken from this game other than I like the results once again and the confidence we display. Keeping the ball rolling and the hard work is much easier to do with a coach around to give you the right kind of attitude. A little more will be able to be told about this team next week, and particularly against Florida. By then we all will know about what this team may be capable of. I think though it would be safe to say this team is capable of 8 wins or more to say the least as I said before. Congrats to Lane Kiffin and the players, and most importantly, to us fans that have suffered and cussed and endured pure hell. It's nice to not have to cuss every breath I draw and rant after each and every game (even in wins) with Fulmer. I like how we kept the gas on until it was 0:00 to go in the game. Let's continue this. Even in the losses that happen down the road, whenever they occur, having a team that busts their ass and a coaching staff doing the same will warrant my support to the last drop. No cussing that. Great job today!

Great post, O! I agree. We have been in SEC football purgatory for years. This was a nice change of pace. I think we'll be competitive in every game.

More than anything, I loved the intensity, especially on defense. WKU is flat out awful and you are 100% correct nothing you can really take from this other than the fact that we should all be grateful that Big Buddha is no longer our coach. I'll bet Kiffin is pissed at the to's (three + another 1-2 fumbles). He'll hopefully keep playing the mental game with these kids and push them to be better than they are.

Not to be meladramatic, but I feel like its 1980 again and our hostages have been released from Iran, so grateful am I to finally get my Vols back!

FUCK YOU PHILLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
