Obama is going to raise taxes and take money out of the pockets of people who earned the money.

Obama and this Democrat controlled congress is redistributing our tax dollars at a record rate by spending more money on politically expedient non-revenue producing, non-job producing programs and groups.

Obama and congress want to employ a cap and trade program with our energy in the United States.

Obama and congress want to allow illegal aliens to use our tax dollars and health system on our dollars.

Think about this...........

Where have seen these things employed before?............

California.....has employed each of these ideas that Obama and the Democrat controlled congress wants to force upon this nation.

Obama and the Democrats want this nation to be just like California...a state that is bankrupt and in deep deep debt.

Is that what you want for this country?

It's too damn late.

People knew what this guy was before he was elected. So I guess the answer to your question is yes.

The United States went into severe debt under Reagan....... Its been getting worse ever since under all presidents (mostly republicans!!!!)

I never understand why anyone who makes less than 250,000 a year would vote for a damn republican. Which constitutes probably 99% of board members here.

I dont agree with all democrats, REALLY dont agree with republicans. Things I think are important however are
EDUCATION
HEALTHCARE REFORM

Things that will NEVER EVER EVER get done under a republican.

I've never understood why anyone who makes more than $.05 per year would vote for a damn Democrat.

See whut I did thar?

PS: Dont be so sure about that 99% thing. I doubt we have 100 people on this board, so I'm certain it's less than that. Probably much less, but I cant speak for what anyone else makes as I dont know (For the record: I dont want to know what any of you make, and I could not care less how much or how little any of you make. I could not care less about how you make it, even. Not my problem.).

Reagan threw us into debt. Yea, he sure did. Here's why. Jimmy Carter damn near put the military out of business and Carter had 20-25% interest rates, and 20% inflation. Reagan came in a had to build back the military and under his administration interest rates dropped along with inflation. He broke the Soviet Union with his military buildup and the prospective "Star Wars" project.

Under Johnson and his great society BS, social security took a major hit trying to fund the welfare state. The Vietnam war put a hit on the treasury also.

Bush comes along and decides to revenge the attempt on his father's life by going to war in Iraq. Weapons or not, it was a total and continues to be a total waste. We are fighting a war in Afghanistan that is nothing but a cesspool.

After the 9/11 hit, my option would have been to make a sheet of glass out of the entire area including the Arabian Pen.

The answer to the entire problem with Washington is set term limits - two terms at the most.

Serious question, I think I know what you'll say but I want to see it from you.

The people running our nation are stupid enough as it is, without forcing continuous inexperience upon them as well with term limits.

No, I'm in favor of public financing of elections, just like they do it in England. If your party pulls in enough votes in it's primary, then the candidate qualifies for Federal financing that will pay 100% of all campaign costs, up to a limit applied to all candidates. Require the media using the public airwaves to donate enough air time free, so that all qualified candidates can speak to the public with their message.

Take the money out of our elections and normal qualified people can run for office. You know, people like you and I, regular people. Congress now is just a millionaire's club and it isn't all all representative of the people of our nation.

We are ruled by elites at present. In all the parties.

I agree with most all of that. We are ruled by elites from both parties, that's for certain. I've been saying that for years. Forcing public financing is not a bad idea, particularly not a bad one if your goal is to get more normal, otherwise qualified people to run. Though I'm relatively confident we would disagree on the specifics, we can at least agree on the bigger picture here. The people are supposed to be the government, after all.

Where I disagree is with term limits, which I STRONGLY support. I'm just not all that opposed to inexperience, so long as 'inexperienced' comes with the qualifier of political. Too many of our politicians are career...politicians; making them virtually removed from the non political world entirely. This is bad. We could do well to rid ourselves of the vast majority of this political experience in exchange for some bona fide really real world experience.

It would be interesting, for a change, to have a politician that actually knew a little bit about what they were talking about. I mean truly understand it by some means other than just memorizing political talking points.
