For anyone with Boyd angst for what might have been, this report from Clemson will allay any immediate sorrow that we don't have Boyd on hand, saving this year as the QB to emerge from the shadows.
Freshman Tajh Boyd, wearing a bulky knee brace six months removed from ACL surgery, has had teammates and coaches gushing about his arm strength, accuracy and pocket presence.
Saturday’s performance produced more of the same as Boyd went 4-of-5 for 66 yards in non-situational work with the third-string offense

The kid was never going to play this year. It's just too hard coming off of that type of knee injury to expect him to come back that quickly. That's not even taking in account the mental demands of trying to be the starting quarterback as a freshman.

Dabo full well intends to red shirt him despite what Tajh Boyd may be telling the media IMO. This is about the 3rd or 4th story to come out regarding Boyd and his supposed challenge for playing time this year.

re-injures. Until Boyd is kicking tail I am not even thinking what could've been.

Kiffin may have made a mistake, but he called it they way he saw it and was honest with the guy. You have to respect that.

Absolutely correct..and if CLK had taken Boyd, by now the sheep that were critical because he didn't take him would be whining..."why did we take him when he was having surgery and won't be any help for 2 years?" (if even then).
I don't think we should have taken him. I also think that some of the others we didn't take (or get) saw how hard they were going to have to work and were just too lazy. Same thing with some that left...

I have now been a Greenville, SC resident for a week now and my suspicions about Climpson have been confirmed. They have QB issues, just like we do. Boyd is not in the picture AT ALL. The paper has made zero mention of him. Also, I think Dabo Swinney is a young Fulmer. This guy ain't gonna get it done.
