I hit some today on a simulator at the store and was very impressed. I'm contemplating going to irons with graphite shafts to preserve my joints a few more years. Starting to notice soreness/looseness in them, especially shoulders and hands, after playing. I've always played forged irons (not blades, but the crossover type) and can't stand to hit a cast iron.
Anyhoo, I was looking at the AP2s, the Mizzuno MP-52s and MX-200s. I think the 200s are closest to a "game improvement" type of iron, but the AP2s just felt like butter. Was hitting the 6 iron 170-175 yds which is almost exactly what I hit my current 6 iron (MacGregor Tourney VIP 1025Cs). It measured my ball speed with the 6 iron around 106. They all had steel shafts so I'm going to go back when they can get a demo with a graphite shaft.
Curious if any of yall have any experience with any of these irons, or with going from steel shafts to graphite shafts.
