I am hesitant to comment on the attack on Tennstud by Atlanta Vol since older posters may recall Av's and My confrontations in the past. I agree with a lot of new posters who point out to AV that his campaign to replace Fulmer was not helpful to recruiting. It gave opposing coaches etc.,an opportunity to focus on negative info., concerning our Vols. As an individual critic he was unimportant, but the relentless criticism and personal insults attracted followers. He will always be a pathetic individual to me.

everything to do with the lack of performance on the field and the mis-evaluation of talent by his buddy. And, there was no attack on Stud. Fulmer, Stud, ADD1A, Tribe, LastLap, PF4UT, 12 and whoever else I forgot brought UT down.

critics on that board--starting early in the R. Sanders years when it was clear that offensive and special teams execution was getting WORSE EVERY YEAR. It was obvious starting five years ago that Fulmer was losing it.

In any case, Kendall's comments are absurd. He is a longtime friend of Fulmer's and was one the old coach's strongest allies--so he doesn't have any credibility when it comes to a fair assessment of the former regime. Fulmer's critics should be given a tickertape parade for any role they might have had in sacking the man. Were it not for them--and last year's woeful team--Fulmer might still be leading his might yVols to one six-win season after another, besting mighty kentucky and vandy late every year to save his job!! Oh, my.

Let's be clear: Fulmer's CRAPPY coaching and the team's losses and lousy performances hurt recruiting--not the comments of critics. Yes, the environment got pretty nasty, but only after it became VERY CLEAR that Fulmer had become burnt out, lazy and a shell of a coach. Every coach in football gets flak when his team loses--it's what happens. I don't want to criticize Kendall too much because I think he's had some health/cancern issues, and he is a good man. Howwever, as the close friend of a floundering SEC coach, he should known not to spend a lot of time in internet chat rooms. Fulmer caused his own demise--simple as that.

Let's boil all that down: Fulmer critics were complaining about Fulmer's dismal performance. Had Fulmer performed better he wouldn't have been criticized. Fulmerites OTOH are today criticizing CLK basically for not being CPF. That's it in a nutshell and it clearly shows who are the UT fans and who are the Univ. of Fulmer fans. Equating criticism of CLK to criticism of CPF is disingenuous at best and insulting to the intelligence of the boards' audience.
