The seniority system is gone and at least two players on the team are delighted. Here's Anthony Anderson's comment but right offensive tackle Jarrod Shaw said basically the same thing, they had never, ever been given even a chance to contribute until this year.
"It was an honor. That was my first time ever to have an opportunity like that," Anderson said of his role on the field on Friday.
A couple of his plays were the type that 'fired' the defense up, inciting a lot of jumping around and head-slapping and simultaneously cranking the intensity up a couple of notches.
Stuck in a logjam at safety behind Eric Berry, Anderson got a shot at corner and was very impressive.
