This is hilarious, now it turns out it was Williams' "great grandmother" and she was 101 years old if we are to believe Stud's follow up to his tall tale. Truth is, Williams probably felt it was more important to be in Knoxville and conveniently placed the blame on his unidentified "coach".
However, the battle royale rages on.....TS vs AV vs RV. Heemuffuggin.

BTW, if you guys missed it, OM got 4000 hits on a thread calling bullshit on Stud's Tales of the Weird.

The whole story was BS, and Dan Williams himself has refuted it. NO damn coach is going to refuse a player to attend his grandma's funeral.
TN stud making shit up again. He has no credibility. What I love is how everything is someone else, he is just a "messenger". STFU stud.

I still think it went down as I said. Dan didn't want to miss the 1st day of practice( and If I'm not mistaking, Photos and all that good stuff). He didn't want to hurt his dad's feeling and not go to the funeral so He might have just used that as an excuse to keep from hurting his dad's feelings, Not expecting his dad to say something to Uncle Fester... This entire thing has been blown completly out of context because of some attention whoring queer in Memphis that just loves for other men to look up to his "connections"...I don't see any coach forbidding someone from going to a funeral..Hell, they let them miss GAMES for funerals so 1 practice isn't going to hurt anything.... If Dan is at the funeral then he is totally left out of the team picture for his senior year and I'm sure he wanted no part of missing that chance..

Look at the personal insults flying over there. Transvestite12 nowhere to be seen, lest he have to deal with Roadie and Wayofftacklevol's directed attacks against other posters. Hypocrites.

Tennstud isn't the only person on the web who gets inside information on the Vols, good and bad. However, most have that internal filter called common sense, that tells them not to make public every tawdry tidbit of info.
AV verified the facts in this situation and then called out Tennstud for posting rumors and apparently placing greater value on personal attention than on accuracy or supporting his alma mater.
Kudos to AV for taking the fight to the Fulmerite infidels, who live for negative info on the new Kiffin staff.
Some things are just better left unsaid and unposted.

I've just received some information that if true is incredibly disturbing. This was relayed to me by someone who is close to the situation and I have no independent verification of this, but will report what I've heard. I'm only repeating what was said and again I can't vouch for the veracity of this info, but if true I'm deeply troubled and would expect more from this individual. This is a glaring example of the inhumanity, animalistic, barbaric, methodology of many, if not most, losers with money. Cover and deflect from your pathetic life at all costs.
Apparently, one of our current coaches has stated that Roy Adams is a narcissistic liar. When asked further, he elaborated by saying that a parent of one of the current players had told him that Roy was an insecure old man who uses internet rumors to make himself feel important. The coach was told of countless rumors that were attention-grabbers that never turned out to have any shred of truth and that Roy even bashed the staff on an Alabama sports talk show. The parent went on to say in no uncertain terms that he even thought Roy was a homosexual!
I know the parent involved and a such I'm emotionally involved. Needless to say, if true these accusations are incredibly troubling! To think that a current 'fan' of the program would stoop so low simply for personal attention and to make themselves feel important is very, very disturbing. To call yourself a 'staunch supporter' of a program while instead working to defame it for personal gain is just WRONG and smacks of the lowest form of self-gratification that one can do.

1- Stud is a pitiful excuse for a Tennessee fan and should not be confused with a real one.
2- He is a pitiful excuse for a person as he buys all of his acquaintences and does not always do a very good job with his choices.
3- He has been caught dead to rights lying through his teeth on Finbaum, and made comments that were downright hateful to UT football.
4-For these reasons, fook Memphistud alias Traitervol.
5-I will not spend time on the fact that he is, as his hero(Fulmer) stated years ago, an old fart.:coolg: Well, Fultanic said it differently.

I felt it needed to be posted on VC since that was the ONLY place the rumor was posted.
Facts:
1) Great grandmother and not Grandmother. Lady was 101 years old.
2) Apparently she died on the weekend and Williams was due in Knoxville for Monday am session. This is where the story is a little muddy. Williams came back to UT on Sunday instead of saying thru Tuesday and into Wednesday for the drive back to Knoxville where he would have missed 2-3 practices and the pre-season pictures with the team. What was said or thought by the parties involved is not known by anyone but the parties themselves.
3) Williams was given permission to return to Jackson for the Tuesday funeral and HE chose not to do the drive over 1 day. He has confirmed that he didn't want to do this.
4) Other teams have all this in hand to use against UT and Slimebaum is pestering tennstud to talk about it on his radio station.
Now those of us with jobs have had these dilemma's over the years as to funerals. Just last year I missed a funeral of the Patriarch Uncle in the family but I did do a 10 hour round trip in less than 24 hours in order to show up at the evening before visitation. I couldn't miss multiple days of work and scheduled procedures for a mid week funeral but I did the best I could with the visitation. Who knows the details but it sounds very similar to my situation except that Williams himself declined to do the 8 hour round trip in less than 24 hours for the funeral.
But Roy has posted THREE wrong things about Orgeron in 7 months now. remember the Drunk Cursing wildman in front of Marlin Browns granny post!!! But my point is that even if some of this is true then the coach can be reprimanded behind closed doors. Doesn't mean it gets all across the net and to Slimebaum.

Roy's comments are pure trash and the things that come out of his mouth match him. Unfortunately, he claims UT as his team. Wish he could pull for someone else. Good job in telling the truth over there.
They do have us, however, in the internet argument that such trash hurts recruiting. We stated before that telling the truth about Fultanic did not hurt recruiting. Our argument went along the lines of if telling the truth kept a good kid from coming to UT, then the kid was not too bright. I understand that the truth Vs. a lie (Memphistud opened his mouth, usually a lie) is not the same comparison- but hopefully the smart recruits are then given a picture of this screwball and some of his past comments and they know to ignore him.

I'm only on page 2 of the thread, but since I can't post I wonder if you would ask Roadie and the others accusing you of hypocrisy a quesion for me? How come they just can't stand Johnny Majors because he went on Bammer radio and aired his grievances, yet they are here cradling Stud's balls and defending him from you when he went on the same damn show and called CLK a punk? I'm going back to read the rest of that bullshit now.

I did mention the "punk" comment from Tennstud to the Finebaum listeners but I didn't correlate with Majors- which is a RoadKill talking point over the years. RoadKill, OffTackle, LastLap, and a few others also hate Majors with a passion.

from Malcom Rawls..who is Dan's BEST friend. Hell his story has more changes in it than Erica Cane's list of hubbys on All My Children.
He is a drunken attention Whore. I really can't believe some of his 'homies' ala XMan, etc. havent beaten the holy hell out of him and stolen him blind.
I am thinking about attending one of his parties just so i can break a lot of shit at his house.
