I was wondering if the "lunch bunch" gets into practice anymore. Those who used to brag about their closeness to the program and how we were mere mortals and did not attend practice so "how could we know what we were talking about"? (Most of us were working and could not spend 20 days a year gazing at football practice which to me is boring as hell and brings back bad memories of heat and no water during practice, etc.)

If not, would it not be appropriate to remind them? What about the asshole write BJ32 or whatever he called himself that was always pimping his blog. Do they let that asshole in, or are the appropriate people shut out?

Tribe Vol is probably the #1 name dropper behind the Dud. He's made it be known that he's already been to a couple practices and talked to Kiffin. That's probably the worst part of Kiffins job is having to deal with hangers on and pretending to be interested in what they're saying.

There's a difference, though. Unlike Phats who curries favor with the 'lunch bunch' to protect himself, CLK doesn't give a flying eff who these guys are, and surely won't share anything of value. I get the sense it's a pretty tight-knit coaching/football staff over there right now. CLK himself would probably tell you he doesn't have the time to BS with people like that.

Where anyone can attend and watch? I think you had to have a "Fulmer Felcher" pass to attend practice previously. Now anybody can.

The day of the message board practice celebrity is over. Everyone is an insider now. The Volchat practice whores aren't shit now.:nana:

It would be a kindness to somehow alert Kiffin as to which of the jock-sniffers who are trying to hang around him now are actually Kiffin haters.

Great get---Yes, indeedy, old DiaTribe, aka Bobby Maddron, has already suggested that he has been on the scene multiple times. Over the years, he has been consistently in the top five "look at me" posters on any board, anywhere. The athletic department has been kept aprised of his activities and negative postings, if you know what I mean.

They KNOW who the prolific posters are on all the UT boards as they keep up with the pulse of the fans. In part, this constant pounding of facts and stats over the years allowed the UT fan base to understand what a slimeball Fulmer was and made it easier for Hammy to dump his ass.

In the same vein they KNOW who has an agenda against the current UT staff before they have coached a game. Is there anyone out there who thinks that Hammy and the Kiffin staff are going to trust a Tosh, KenDOLL, Voltrolio, PF4UT, OffTackle, LastLapDog, Hueyfool, etc??? They know exactly who these guys are by monitoring the sites. I also think they have had it up to their eyeballs with Tennstud posting unconfirmed rumors about Orgeron along with interviews on Finebaum where unflatterring things were said about Kiffin. All the guys who don't have UT's best interest, and who seem to be University of Fulmer fans rather than UT fans will not be tolerated as any sort of insiders anymore.

I think Kiff is aware of how negative Jimmy Hyams has been toward our new coaching staff and therefore he is being shown no love from Coach Lane Kiffin.

Kinda funny, but the only local radio show I have actually heard Kiffin call in to was Tony B's.

practices is pretty open to anyone. there were some dudes standing outside the fence the other day and a coach asked why they didn't come inside? Things are more open than under previous staff.

most people that know people "inside" don't depend on getting information from coaches. Coaches don't have time. was true with previous staff and I'm sure true with this staff. you get best information from others... jmo

Most athletic departments have people who specifically monitor the boards. As mentioned in Meat Market, Orgeron had an office assistant that monitored the boards for news and rumors on recruits when he was at Ole Miss. I would imagine the same is true at UT.
