is going to be a stud. Mark my word.

When I 1st watched his video clips last winter I was astonished that (a) he was only rated a 3*, (b) tOSU wasn't all over him and (c) his 40 time was listed as 4.55.

I understand that he was not expected to qualify so maybe that had something to do with his ranking and tOSU laying off. But 4.55?

Watch THIS (http://vodpod.com/watch/1311754-2009-mike-edwards-glenville-senior-year) and tell me what you think.

I counted 4 different positions he played not counting ST, and he affected the game from each of them.

I guess we have him slotted at CB. Looks like he's the kind of athlete who can shut down one side of the the field and make plays on balls.

But hells bells, on offense he reminds me of Stanley Morgan. Whether playing RB, WR or QB, he just has that extra gear where he can outrun a defender who *appears* to have a great pursuit angle on him. There's one play on that reel where he catches a ball and what follows is just sick.

I can't wait to see some of these new kids play.

I see what people mean when they talk about his stride. Damn.

Long strider. Really happy he got in. He played in an excellent league on a HS with a lot of talent. Ohio Vol on VQ, who really knows Ohio talent, said he was the #1 CB in Ohio, no contest, and severly underrated. That dude has track speed.

- his 3* ranking was WAY too low, and none of us ever figured out why it never changed. Mike had a GREAT season last year, especially late in the year, and everyone assumed he jump to a 4* at minimum but never did. No idea on this one.

- tOSU picked up a couple other db's we had rated higher than Mike and got committments from them real early last year, like summer early fall early. At that time, Mike's grades werent exactly mensa material, but he did get them up by winter. He waited for an offer but by then we just werent taking any more db's, and voila Knoxville.

- I don't know about a 4.55 time for Mike, that's too low. But what you will see with him right off the bat is he can lay the wood and isnt afraid to knock someones head off.

"Ohio Vol on VQ, who really knows Ohio talent, said he was the #1 CB in Ohio, no contest, and severly underrated. "

- I wouldn't go that far. Turner from Massilon who is just a senior this year, has been the best DB in the state since he was in 10th grade. (and who is gonna waste his 4 yrs at Michigan) And Latwan Anderson who is just a senior this year could be the best db recruit to come out of Ohio since a guy whose name I wont mention but rhymes with Shmoodson.

Latwan Anderson transfered over the summer from St. Edwards to Glenville. (Same school as Mike Edwards) As of right now, he has no tOSU offer. He has been told if his grades improve he will get one. He as said if he gets one, he will accept immediately. Who knows if his grades will improve enough. But if they dont and this turns into Mike Edawrds all over again, you guys would be INSANE to not jump all over this kid. He is Eric Berry all over again, but faster. (4.29 to 4.37 has been where his times are coming in at)

That boy is all legs and hands ain't he?

I'm not sure where he ends up playing, but I'd wager he gets on the field somehow. Looks like a guy with football speed and tremendous hands. I don't know if I'd be surprised if he got a look at receiver.
