I saw this tag number on a pickup from Fulton County yesterday. Wonder if it helps him or hurts him?
Anybody remember the Seinfeld episode where the Procto had a tag that said "ASSMAN"?

I did but technically speaking the proctologist had a yacht named "ASSMAN". He ordered a vanity plate with the same thing on it but he never got it because it mistakenly went to Kramer instead. Kramer put it on his car and drove it down the street and people on the sidewalk would yell out, "Hey, it's the Assman!" George's mother was very impressed although it's not clear if she thought Kramer was impressive or if she thought that the bystanders were impressed because he had her in his car. I still DVR Seinfeld and watch several episodes a week. I am such an intellectual.
The same guy who played the ASSMAN proctologist later played the emergency room doctor who treated Susan, George's fiance' who died from poisoned wedding invitation envelopes. I was never sure exactly what the joke was there with a proctologist working in the emergency room.

Yes. When Frank Costanza found out about it that led to a confrontation between him and Kramer which in turn led to Frank falling on Kramer's tiny sculpture of Jerry made out of pasta. The sculpture ended up embedded in Frank's butt which was apparently a joking reference to all the emergency room trips made by people with foreign objects stuck up their butts.
If you are drinking buddies with any doctors who ever worked at emergency rooms then I'll bet that you've heard all the stories about the foreign objects stuck in butts. They all start the same way: "Well, I accidentally sat on/fell on this thing and now I can't get it out..." My daughter once had a softball coach who was an emergency room doc and he regaled us with these stories one day at lunch. Good grief, some of them were so disgusting that I lost my appetite although you would think that as hard as I was laughing that I would have gained appetite. Let's just say that not everything that goes in can be removed the same way. Sometimes nasty surgery is involved...

I think he's the same guy who played the "junior mint" surgeon too...could be wrong but I think that's the guy.

The doctor who played the ASSMAN doc was different from the one in the emergency room, although emergency room doc had a run of about four episodes including one not mentioned here..."Summer of George".
It's the one where George slipped on invitations on the staircase and ruined his summer.
Emergency room doc was in the Jr. Mint one and in the finale as well.
Assman doc made only one appearance in the series. Credit:IMDb.
