East TN courses

I have a relative that works in golf course management, he currently is 1st asst. to the superintendent at a private upscale club in West Palm Beach. He wants to move back to TN and asked me what are some of the better public and private courses in East TN. I'm only familiar with courses mainly in the tri-cities area so what are some of the better ones(especially private) in Knoxville and Chatt areas?

I mostly hack around on the cheaper goat ranch type courses. Tennessee National looks very nice (drove through there once). Fox Den hosts some of the golf tournaments. I hear many folks say that Egwani Farms and Willow Creek are some of the nicer public courses.
