I just tried the Srixon z-star ball today. I have played the V1 for a long time and lately the B330s. I swear this srixon is much better than both of them, it's by far the best ball I've ever hit. Long off the tee and has great bite on the greens and feels almost as good as a set of 34D's. I couldn't believe this ball, it made my sticker peck out!

The Srixon 333 gets great reviews too. Sadly the clowns at Germantown Country Club dont play them. Or at least they dont lose em where I can find em.

I will be looking for some of those when I hunt balls. There was guy out wading in the river today at Riverview picking up golf balls. I like to hunt them if I am bored and thought I had worked through some messes to find balls but this took cake. He was out there in murky water with mosquitoes who knows what other critters swimming around under the water. He told me he was collecting balls for his driving range. Maybe it is a sign of tough economic times.

About 15 years ago I played the Wilson Staff all the time. A couple of months ago I bought some Wilson Staffs that were in a multi-variety 24 ball box at my pro shop. I really didn't like them but my 15 yr old son loves the "zip", so I gave them to him.
But this Srixon really impressed me. It has great feel and bite around the green and I get about 5-8 yrds more with it off the tee than with the pro V1. It just feels really good and I was very surprised.

The choice of balls comes and goes......I played the Precept for years and loved it.....then I changed and hit the Spalding Tour (what Lee Treveno) played for years and I loved it.....started playing the Wilson Tour about 5 years ago and I am still playing it....Never been a big fan of the pro V....I got my brains beat out a few years ago when I was playing to a 5 handi-cap using a pro-tour ball by a guy who was using a top-flight.....that'll hurt your feelings....
