The Dems are champions of the down-trodden, right? The Reps want tax cuts, right?
Well, since the lottery harms the ones who can least afford it (so some say), then I would like to see the Dems reduce some of the burden that we carry by eliminating all taxes on the prizes.
The Reps will get behind this because of the tax cut.
The tickets are bought by after tax dollars anyway.
Win - Win situation.
