You know, the Medicus or similar type that shows what part of the swing has broken down? I can see it useful for tempo, but what else? Do they break down if you're off plane?

I think they do (break down if off plane), but go swing one of those gyroscopic drivers, they really do work and are great.

They suck. Tries to turn you into some kind of robot which is the exact opposite of how one should play Golf as far as I'm concerned.
There are a million ways to swing a club. Get fitted with a driver that is best for your swing.
As far as a practice club the Power Hitter is the best on the market. You swing that big bitch for a few minutes and I promise you you'll be taking the club back slower, and laying it off at the right moment at the top, and most importantly feeling the weight of the head as it zips thru the hitting zone.... nothing else matters if you cant do that. Plus, you cant swing the damn thing that hard, which is one of if not the biggest no no in Golf.. swinging too hard that is. You swing it for about 5 minutes before you tee off and I promise you you wont swing out of your shoes when you tee it up, you'll let the club do the work, and you'll hit the ball 25-30 yards farther than you normally do.
I have one and I love the damn thing. It's actually gotten me back into Golf as I had fell out of the game. If it had a hot, slippery hole I would prob marry it.

I agree, messing with the swing plane is wrong, screws you up. Get a driver thats fitted, take a lesson or two and you'll be set.
