Bama game should be interesting

There are two series records b/t UT and other SEC schools that just don't seem right: Auburn's lead against us in football and Bama's lead against us in basketball. Florida is now tied with us in football, but I try not to think about that. Anyhow, we have an opportunity to chip away on Bama on Sunday.

This should be a very interesting game. Philip Pearson has done a good job as their interim coach. They've won some good games. We will be at home and there might be a letdown for us after beating Florida and SCAR on the road.

Can Bruce get the team up for this one? Will we play like we played at SCAR? If we can win this one, especially convincingly, I think we just might win a game or two in the ...........................

if I'm reading this team right, our confidence and intensity will be sky high for this game as we seem to have whipped some of our demons that past few games. All this team needed in reality was for our guards to stop thinking so hard and just get in the flow of the game and I can't imagine we're goint to go backwards at this point.......I hope I'm right

The last two games have been very close contests. If Bama holds to character, this should be a very physical game. I have not watched Bama play this year, so I do not know how they are playing, since they made the coaching change. If they play a half-court game, then this will be a good test for the Vols.

My guess is, if it were in Tuscaloser, we'd be in for a fight. I see this as a never-really-in-doubt UT win, though I wouldn't think it will be a blowout. bama is a decent team, maybe even dangerous, but they fold at times (like against AU). I think outside of Gee they really don't have anyone who would play meaningful minutes at a place like UT. The freshman, Green, has some potential but my guess is that Chism is a tough matchup for him (assuming they guard each other). I think this is a Tyler Smith game waiting to happen.

I can't see how motivation will be difficult. And we got 5 days until the next game so I don't see them looking ahead to the SEC tournament. There's unfinished business to be done in Knoxville on Sunday.

And we are a better team than Bama. I've seen Bama play and they are beatable, for sure.
