Playing my first round of the year tomorrow.

I usually don't play but a couple times a year, and I'm in a scramble tomorrow. My goal is to laugh. A lot.

Playing my first one on Sunday. I haven't played in almost a year and only been to the range once...maybe twice if I can sneak in a bucket on Sat.
I expect to experience suckitude of the highest order, except for one brilliant shot which will convince me I've almost got it and get me to play again.

Usually after a long layoff, I play pretty well the first time. And every time after that it goes downhill exponentially.

Well, we had fun. Considering I play maybe 2-3 times a year and I was prolly our #2 player, we did good to come in under par (thank you 2 putt rule!). Hit a few nice shots, sucked with the putter, and tattooed a couple drives. Also had a few nice shanks, slices, worm-burners, and even one whiff.

I'm glad you got yours in. My "friends" wussed out because of the threat of rain. Of course, we got none.

Finally got that first round in today. It went something like this: "I hate golf." "I love golf." "I hate golf." "I hate golf." "I hate golf." "Hey, I love golf."
Hit that one stupidly terrific shot that makes me think I got it all figured out. So, I'll do it again soon.
