I detest the Food Network. Their shows suck, their recipes suck, their product suck (I ordered a Bobby Flay "autographed" cookbook and got a cookbook that had a sticker inside with Flay's signature. Still hot about that."
BUT, they have a "recipe box" on their website that is free and can be manipulated a number of ways to allow you to store your favorites and name them any way you please. I probably have about 300 recipes on there so I hope they never start charging for this service.
Best thing to do I've found with the recipes on foodtv.com is find two or three recipes you think you like, or on cooks.com or somewhere else, then amalgamate them. If it works, keep a record and copy it over.

Bless her heart - can't cook worth a sh*t - nothing but a glorified Cracka Barrel.

Paula Deen can't cook for shit, but I bet she's sold more jars of Hellman's than Charlie the Tuna.
Alton Brown's show is extremely well written, but his recipes are generally very average at best.
I know, I know, I know I'm gonna catch heat for this but I kind of actually like Bobby Flay's Throwdown.....he seems so much more humble than he used to be.
I cried when they took David Rosengarten and Mario Batali off. They are still two of my favorite food people of all time.

Yeah, he does. I hate to admit that, but he does. He routinely kicks ass on Iron Chef, but is so humble these days when he loses. I think that hottie he married has really changed him. I think he feels blessed to be hittin' that or whatever it is you guys say.
The best episode of Iron Chef in years was when he lost to the female chef of NY's restaurant Prune. I think he was generally pleased with losing to her. She seemed so gracious and her food was beautiful. Simple, clean...I'd really like to eat there. There was also a guy that did cabbage that kicked Flay's ass. His food was also, just absolutely gorgeous. Only the best beat Flay, which is what has really changed my tune about him.
