Restaurant Dead Pool
Which of these chains will be the next to go Chapter 7 like Bennigans.
1. Quizno's
2. Burger King
3. Applebee's/IHOP
4. Fridays
Or my current odds on favorite (its a shame) Ruby Tuesday

And the two freak sidekicks in current ads.
Loose the franchise? No loss if they take that fiberglass nightmare with them.

They are closing up shop in a lot of places.
No worse food in a chain restaurant than Applebees.

Burger King makes great burgers and the best chicken sandwiches.

Applebees, hands down. Talk about killing a chain.

Yeah, Applebees is really bad.
But a likely candidate missing from your list is the much beloved Krispy Kreme. :(
Yeah Quiznos sucks
and I'm not thinking Planet Smoothie is in it for the long haul either.
I would also imagine all those cheap steakhouses are on the block: Longhorn, Roadhouse........you know the type.

Applebee's business is up year to date 6 or 7%. One of the few along with Chili's that is up, due to heavy ad campaigns. They have grown old on most of us, and our pallets have become more sophisticated. But in an industry that is currently off 10% or better, none of those are having any problems.

Now if we could just get a corporate company to have more on their kid's menu than:
Mac n cheese
Chicken Fingers
Cheese Pizza
Cheeseburger
Hot Dog
And no, adding a choice of a cup of applesauce or carrots and ranch dip instead of fries does not count.

I am suprised about that on Applebees Naper. They have closed two in the Nashville area and at least two in the Destin, Ft Walton Beach area in the last year. I have always though their food sucked, always.

There have been several Crapplebees in Memphis close then reopen then close. Only food worth eating there are the cheese sticks and milk shakes.
I wouldn't mind seeing Outback close. Been there maybe 5 times and everytime 5 of the worst meals I ever eaten. I also hate Logan's.
I sometime miss Shoney's and wish they would turn it around. If nothing else at least for the breakfast bar.

Outback way back when used to be great. You would go in and get a quality meal, cooked right. I've been there maybe 2 times in the past six or seven years (both 'cause I had a gift card) and the food was awful. Meat incorrectly cooked, tough cuts of beef, etc. One of the times I ordered a Prime Rib and they brought me some lame-ass ribeye that was tough, burned and a horrible steak. I had to argue with the server that it was not prime rib. I won't spend my own money at Outback.
