THE PERFECT ALBUM SIDE From BrassVols (http://www.imeem.com/people/zSEP-5w/playlist/ESKM1T5Y/perfect-brassvols-music-playlist/)
We've had some interesting selections this week.
What is better way to learn about people and expand your horizons than listening to favorite music of your friends and acquaintances?

Phenominal side (actually about two + sides with the length of those tracks)!!! I have to say I was completely blown away by Jordan Rudess. While I had heard of Dream Theatre, I really never paid much attention to the members. Anybody that likes Yes, ELP, (early) Genesis will absolutely love this guy. And it had been quite a few years since I have given Blow by Blow a listen so that brought back some great memories.
Great choices! Thanks!

Hey doug glad you enjoyed it! Normally I dont get excited about pop/rock musicians covering songs by other bands, but the Rudess album is a special case. The quality of the recording is excellent, you should listen to it on a good system. When he plays with DT he gets kind of lost in all of their heavy metal frenzy, but I absolutely loved what he did with these two great pieces of music. You should check out the rest of the album (The Road Home).

Brassy, I too enjoyed the hell out of your set. I was waiting for Stephen Hill to voice in..."music from the hearts of space". "The Gates of Delerium" is such an awesome piece of music
