and I agree. Pretty pathetic for the poor student turnout, this is still a team fighting for the east and a NCAA berth. When I was a student, I even freaking went to Wade Houston coached games.

I don't get it. This comment I think is pretty dead on
"
I hardly ever go anymore because people look at you like you are ruining their social night or like you are yelling in church. The fans, not just the students, need to understand that this is not BINGO or Sunday school. They need to support the team, not have quiet time or talk about the economy.
If you go to the games, make some noise dammit. Yell at the officials. Stomp your feet. Scream when the other team is shooting free throws. And if you can't do any of that stuff, yet you insist on taking up valuable space with your worthless, self-righteous butt, at least don't look annoyed when real fans try to give the team a home court advantage."
When I went to a Florida State football game, the fans in their 50s and 60s would get just as rowdy and loud. Why does UT have this problem for basketball and football?

They were loud and active for most of the game. They got quiet when the lead got up around 15...probably stunned, but whenever the gap closed, the crowd got back into it quickly.

Pearl did the same thing on his post-game show. He asked people to attend early church, so they could make tip-off Sunday. This team needs the fans to show up on Saturday.

“Of course we had a great crowd against Florida,’’ Maze said, “but against Georgia and Vanderbilt it wasn’t like that."
Gee, Bobby. Ya think? Could it be because Florida is probably viewed as a bigger rival than the other two and Florida was the site of College GameDay?
Quite honestly, this team hasn't done too much for people to get excited about.
