Yes, XHCPF had a son by his first marriage, but that kid didn't get dragged into the family business, and his daughters weren't brought in as Asst. coaches or GAs.

Fast forward to South Carolina, where the receptionist will now ask "Which coach Spurrier do you want to speak with? You have a choice of three."

Odd thing about GameCock fans, they see that the youngest Spurrier (GA Spurrier) is a tried and true USCe fan and assume there're no ties to Florida. Wasn't that kid old enough to remember the NC at UF?

I think I prefer the HCDD method of entering coaching, not so much riding family coattails. ('Cause I have trouble spelling nepotism.)

Yes, CDD's name might help get his foot in the door...as did Kiffin's. But they've got to have the drive and ability to stay there.

That CDD didn't ride Daddy's coattails (and vince probably wisely didn't push him to go to georgia) is indeed impressive.
