Where's the petition? Is he in route to Nashville via automobile right now? The Vanderbilt AD has got to be absolutely salivating that such a brilliant coach, recruiter and molder of men is available just a couple hunerd up I-40!!

Krispy Kremes pack, ready to go to work and hit the ground face first, err, I mean running!

Maybe, but remember he'll be interviewing them as much as they'll be interviewing him. He won't go just anywhere. It'll have to be an institution devoted to winning championships!

That's an interesting observation. His coaching career started at Vandy so he's no stranger to them. Who else does Vandy have to offer? The question is if Fulmer would take that job, if he wants to prove he can still coach all he has to do is win half his games and it would be considered a good job.

If Fulmer coaches Vandy to a win over the Vols..............well, I don't think I need to tell you what the Felchers will say.

Never happen. They don't even have an athletic department. They are not as devoted to championships as the Duke of Doughnuts wants.

Now that CIWantMyCheesyPoofsFulmer has all that investment-business experience,
he can surely point to that as justification for hiring him as the FB HC,
And as the new AD.
He'll be making the sports radio talk show rounds shortly...

Please let Flummotoad go to Vandy, please! Then all the Flummotoadies can get season tickets and can trade their orange in for black and gold.

I now really suspect that this guy is either an Outermonvolian or someone like RobtNAtlanta with a second handle.

Maybe. When they interview one another, I bet that'll be a question that comes up--CPF will likely ask "How committed are you to winning at the highest level?". Who knows, with a coach of CPF's calibre and credentials, Vandy might invest considerably more in their football program.

While I wouldn't be averse to seeing this scenario actualize, there are obvious obstacles to this becoming a reality: Vandy's lack of a "winning tradition" for instance, and perhaps most unfortunately for Vandy, the fact that they play UT every year. I can see CPF being loath to accpet a role that would require him to play his beloved Vols on such a regular basis (and can you imagine his first game back in Knoxville--there would nary be a dry eye in the house). Think about it--CPF is not only a pillar of the program, but of the Knoxville community itself........its not in his nature to hurt the school, but perhaps he feels it would be an opportunity to prove his detractors wrong while simulatenously highlighting the fac thta solid football is present in Tennessee (which would hopefully attract good players to both schools).

My fervent hope is that if CPF does accept the job, they are able to scedhule USC right away--that would be a dismantling of USC (on the gridiron) heretofore unseen! Can you imagine the intimidating scowl (for which he legendary) that would unman CLK prior to the game, or the look of sheer euphoria that would grace CPF's visage after inflicting such a crushing blow on CLK--it is the stuff movies/dreams are made of---a native son avenging his people!!

I think I can safely say that many of us are waiting with bated breath to see how this all unfolds!

Hahahahaaa!!! That's some good material right there. Hell, even the pencil neck geeks at Vandy that don't know a football from a protractor would never be foolish enough to hire Fat Pa. His days as a coach are O-V-E-R. Plus, he needs to stay in Knoxville to see firsthand from his grandfathered season tickets how much he wrecked the program in his latter years. My blood still boils when I think about it.

I used to think the same thing, when this guy posted as PF4UT. I've exchanged some PM's with him and I've come to the conclusion that it's not RobertNAtl. This guy is a true full on Fulmer Felcher.

Ah, first hand accounts of personal correspondance with this nutjob. Do we know if he is in a medium security mental hospital. I officially retract the allegation that it was someone from here!

I think I might root for Fulmer at Vandy. I know the one thing must of us on this site have in common is that we were against Fulmer keeping his job so long. I can see how one could hold a grudge against the coach who ran our program in the ground, while all but rubbing it in our faces. It's not entirely Fulmers fault. Think about it. If you have a job, and if you are doing a bad job, but you have everyone around you telling you how great of a job your doing. Therre's no way you are going to notice that you are doing a bad job, and for that matter what does it matter anyway if so many people think your doing great including your boss. (dickey)
I want to go back to the 2002 season. We were ranked a pre season top 5 team by everyone. We wound up going 8-5 and getting canned by MD in peach bowl. Everyone over at Volquest was saying that Fulmer did a great coaching job, there were many who said it was his best ever. So, I blame the sheep moreso than Fulmer.
