Here is who remained from those two classes. I am going to assign a point system in 25% increments based on their contribution to the program thus far. 1 being the highest; 0.25 being the lowest. Total possible points = 28 points:

Chad Cunningham - 0.5

Quintin Hancock - 1

Daniel Lincoln - 0.5

Jacques McClendon - 1

Cody Pope - 0.5

Stephaun Raines - 0.5

Jarrod Shaw - 0.75

Luke Stocker - 1

Victor Thomas - 0.25

LaMarcus Thompson - 1

Gerald Williams - 1

Anthony Anderson - 0.5

Eric Berry - 1

Kevin Copper - 1

Chris Donald - 0.25

Art Evans - 1

C.J. Fleming - 0.5

Savion Frazier - 1

Gerald Jones - 1

Ben Martin - 1

Nevin McKenzie - 1

Darius Moore - 1

Kenny O'Neal - 0.25

Dennis Rogan - 1

Rae Sykes - 0.75

Darryl Vareen - 0.25

Chris Walker - 1

DeAngelo Willingham - 1

TOTAL: 21.5 points (76.7%)

This is both fair (I feel) and appalling at the same time. Kenny O'Neal and Chris Donald could make a strong argument for 0.0 points and both were FIVE stars.

2006-2007 Notables

Signed 52 players total
24 players never made it to campus/no longer here
18 of the 28 who did are starters (19 if you count Shaw in 2009)

No surprise here, but we can trace where we are as a program right now firmly to these two classes as the cornerstones for a few years of crappy football. Thanks Fulmer!

Now you need to add the 2008 Fulmer Class then add the low # of signee's of the 2009 Kiffin class where many of them are long gone including 4* Richardson and 5* Brown and 4* Myles.

We basically had crappy classes in 2006, then 2007, then 2008, then after all is said and done- again in 2009. A program simply can't survive that and do well in the SEC.

No way Shaw gets a higher "rating" than Lincoln. Lincoln's been inconsistent lately but he had two game-winning kicks as a freshman.

Good stuff and very insightful as to why UT is in its current predicament. We are basically a probation program right now. As another poster put it recently, Fulmer Probation. And AV is right that Kiffin's 2009 recruiting class is starting to unravel. We've already lost Richardson, Brown, Edwards and most likely Walls and even possibly King. The Curse of UT Football rolls on.
