B-ball vols seem to be loaded for the upcoming season.....
Assuming they stay out of trouble, which is a large assumption....

Correct and they will again have a better shot at reaching the Final Four than Kentucky. Having older, veteran players with talent is much better than having uber-talented freshmen who have never played together and have been the superstar in waiting at their high schools, but now must share the stage with other guys. I must rather have to one big time recruit coming in with a bunch of solid guys are him. Plus, Pearl is a much better teacher and coach than the Guinea.

John Wall was the difference maker for ky jelly. The rest were awesome talents, but weren't unguardable. JW supposedly had a 3.5 gpa fall semester. I wonder if the rest went to class at all, as their team gpa was in the basement. I have already predicted a UT sweep of ky jelly this year.

Hope Hopson fills out, bulks up and becomes the man on the court. Weezy was a big loss for us.
We have as much talent as anybody and a better coaching staff than most...

Agreed Hopson needs to step up and be assertive
Another key is Goins or a newcomer stepping up at point.
Also, Williams could really offset the loss of Weezy. He came on at the end of the year. A lot of commentators were very impressed with him in the tourney. If he continues that improvement he will be a force.
It seems the new guys are impressing. If Tobias is as good as people are saying look out. We've never had a true one and done talent, if he is, we will be hard to stop.

The transfer from UNC-W will help soften the loss of Chism. The guy is a big time rebounder/shot blocker and low post presence. Then you add another rugged power forward at the mid-term with another transfer who will be eligible for the second half of the season.

The loss of Chism, Maze and Prince = serious loss of chemistry and swagger.
Hard to replace both qualities.

Prince was a nightmare match-up. Someone big enough to keep him off the glass would have to foul trying to guard him, someone quick enough to stay with him he could just go over. Melvin Goins and Trae Golden will do OK for us at the point. Both strong, solid bodies, good leapers, just good athletes in general. Goins will surprise you with his hops. Chism will have to be replaced by committee. I haven't seen Maymon or Harris, but several knowledgeable people say harris is our best recruit since Bernard King! I hope to see the press more this year!
