Will have a field day with this mess.
Defense attorney: So patron you gave a statement to the police at 3:30 am on the night of the altercation and stated you had consumed 2 beers? correct. But you said you arrived at the bar at 12:30, what did you do that whole time? Would you care to change your statement regarding alcohol consumed before you gave your statement?
The fight started inside where potentially the only people not drinking were bartenders, then the fight was moved outside? My brother is an attorney in the Noog and he would rip this thing to shreds.
I am not defending the actions of the players, I'm just sayin....

not a chance in hell that would fly.
- do they not serve any beverages other than alcoholic beverages?
the court of law doesn't run off of probabilities and guesswork. There's no way your brother, nor any attorney in the country, could prove he was in there drinking more than what he stated simply by how long he was inside the bar. If they took a toxicology report at the hospital, then yes, they could get a good idea. But just to go off of the hours he was there, not a chance in hell.

Just depends on the jury. In Knoxville, they will probably believe the cops.

Reasonable doubt is all you have to have. 1 juror in 12 has to be swayed not to fully believe something.

are you seriously trying to say, that if 1 jury member out of 12, thinks that cop lied about how much he drank and was completely shitfaced, drunk beyond the point of beligerence, and even instigated the fight, that the 6-10 people that stomped his head in are going to get off the hook for nearly killing him?
please tell me that's what youre trying to say hehehe.
