There is a Hilton Garden Inn and a Courtyard right by the aquarium and the rest of downtown. They just parked the Delta Queen in Nooga but haven't heard good or bad. If I was a tourist in Nooga I would see/do the following.

Aquarium

Tn. Valley Railroad museum

Lost Sea

Sweetwater Valley Cheese farm tour/Mayfield Dairy

Bea's restaurant

Watch dumbasses launch off the back of Lookout Mtn on hang gliders

Incline/Point park

If you go during Riverbend Festival-Bessie Smith strut

I'm sure some of the current residents can help as well

The boat looked rough last time I saw it from the pedestrian bridge. The aquarium (fresh and salt) is absolutely wonderful.

Harrison Bay state park is just north of Chattannooga and simply beautiful. Restful. But not too far from the city.

There are some B&B's in the Bluff View Art District and at least one near UTC's campus (Mayor's Inn). The Bluff View district is a ten to fifteen minute walk from anything downtown or on the north shore. The minor league Lookouts stadium is near downtown.
