Currently 3-0 after a couple of bombs. After watching a commercial about "Jawhorse" I'm thinking chatzy would be very entertaining - sponsored by Suburu.

Cat Hosfield has pitched four innings which means Ivy is ready to relieve in the game if needed. I would imagine she might start warming up in top of the fifth or sixth. Missagain has illegal pitch girl back in the circle right now.

Wasn't as easy as last night. Missagain loaded bases in the top of the seventh but Ivy got two strikeouts and the line drive to the SS to pick up the save.
Just an update, little sister Ellen is in championship game at state softball tournament. There is one more Renfro, Anna I think, who is supposed to be the best athlete of the three sisters. I saw Ivy's Mom at the game against Michigan and the announcer said Dad was with the two younger sisters at state.
Now, if Okie will beat that vampire bitch from Washington again tonight, it will be a very good day in softball!
BTW, for those that didn't know. The Renfro girls are grand nieces of the Tennessee humorist and Jerry Clower sound alike, Cotton Ivy. Their mom is the daughter of Cotton's brother. Their first cousin, son of Cotton Ivy, is one of the lead Federal Prosecutors in Jackson, Tenn. His name is Vic Ivy. The girls' grand dad raised national champion Chester White hogs and showed them at many fairs over the 1970s and 1980s.
Anyway, congrats to the Lady Vols, they beat a veteran team with five freshmen in the Tennessee lineup. Great day for senior Erin Webb, who had not had a good senior year at the plate, but her two homeruns today were the difference. She was ESPN Player of the Game.

I don't think I ever saw a single Michigan player smile even once during the entire tournament. Not that they had a lot to smile about. I do like UM's coach though. The old gal seems to be pretty laid back for a college coach. Did you see her reaction after she lifted her starting pitcher and then illegal-pitch-gal gave up a HR on her first pitch?

I noticed illegal pitch gal has exact same windup as Bama's senior pitcher. Frankly, they really nit picked her a couple of times as back toe barely left ground for a split second.
They were in shock is probably the reason they weren't smiling. They had not lost on that field since Super Regional in 2008. Lady Vols center fielder Kelly Grieve was the best player on that field for those two games. Did you see her alertly try to tag that girl out in the seventh?

The series was a case study in how speed and agility can overcome size and power. Michigan was like a women's slow-pitch team, all heft and massive muscle compared to UT's blinding speed and quickness. The funny thing is that UT out-homered UM.

Perfect analogy there, a women's slow pitch team!!! Also, UT did out homer them. Those smaller young ladies still have some pop when the pitch is up and they can open up hips and or square the thing going the other way. They have quick, strong hands even though they look petite on the field. I was really proud for Erin Webb in the second game. She has not had a great senior season, but she came through like a champion in that clincher!

Michigan's team reminded me of some of the old Solway/Ball Camp ladies team's from back in the 70's....many of whom chewed 'baccy.
