How about the Gatlinburg Scottish games??? Lot's of fun times on Saturday. After a few years of decline, I felt there were more folks, more stuff, and it was much bigger this year. A definite improvement over the past few years. I really enjoy the folks who dress good for this event. There are some goth folks who want to dress stupid, but for the most part it is cool to see those that take pride in what they wear. I especially want to congratulate the "Confederate soldier" who took the time to talk to Lil ElCon about life during the War. He was nice and cool to talk with. Also the guy dressed as a Braveheart stand in, complete with blue face. That was pretty neat. We got the lil guy his first Braveheart era wooden sword with a belt so he wore that around on his back Saturday. I threw some axes and stuck a couple in the target, pretty impressive. If you have a little Scotch in you(or not) and you would like to take your family next year. Google "Gatlinburg Scottish Games" around April, and it is usually the same weekend as the Preakness.

We don't claim Rod...
They did have a beer tent this weekend, so come up next year. We need some English to stand as targets on the ax throwing/ stone tossing/ caber tossing..
