This guy played 2nd base for the Braves for years and never could hit a lick. Lost his job to Prado last year and the Braves dumped him finally. Just saw he got HR against the Braves last night for Arizona so pulled up his stats just for the heck of it.

The guy has 11 HR's and 23 RBI's this year with an OBS of nearly 1.0

His frickin career stats with Atlanta were 45 HR's and 206 RBI's over many years. Jeff Franceour is doing similar things with the Mets. Neither guy could hit a lick for the Braves and didn't hit a lick over several frickin YEARS yet they go on fire once they leave the Braves! How do you explain this? Hitting coaches? Managers? What?

Kelly Johnson is streaky this year. He tore it up in April but has been pretty rotten this month despite last night's performance. That said, its past time for Terry Pendleton to go and I'm personally not too sad to see Bobby go at the end of the year.

Johnson has always been a streaky hitter. I think he needed a change of scenery more than anything. He also battled a lot of injuries in his time with the Bravaritos that didn't help anything.

What i am thinking AV is living in Atlanta caused the guy to have a major depression , and the only cure :img108: was to move to Arizona , if this works for Aaron Douglas as well i can see it working for you , and i urge you to follow suit and move to Arizona , it may well lift your Voldepression :biglaugh:

I've said Pendleton wasn't a hitting coach ever since the watching the first few games after they gave him that job. I think the problem is 100% TP, hope he don't foul up Heyward like he did Francouer

I don't think it has anything to do with TP. All the guys that are struggling now have hit well in their careers. Francoeur last time I checked was below .260 with the Mets after a decent start. Chipper ain't hittin, McCann, Escobar, Diaz, McClouth, you name em, they have all hit well WITH Pendleton besides McClouth who has never hit for a high average in his career anyway.
