My buddy killed another one the other day. His son has 3 and easily coulda killed more but hates to limit out.

I killed one in 20 minutes max and that counts puttin on the Camo.

All I ever heard all my life was just how darned hard it is to kill a Turkey. Oh I heard the stories "IF htey could smell youd never kill one"

Leemee tell ya it almost isnt fair to shoot em with these modern day shells.

3 1/2" magnums? It's a Turkey not an Elephant.

They are also very plentiful right now. I drove past a yard with 15 of them in it the other morning on my way to work.

I agree blackie....there is a field not far from my house that has at least 50 in it every morning....I have buddies that invest in all this gear and equipment to hunt turkeys with...they look like Navy Seals invading Iraq...I could walk out in that field close to my house in my house-shoes and underwear and kill about 5 of those suckers with a sling-shot...

They must be everywhere..

Somebody find me a link to a turkey call, so I can download it as a ringtone..
Thanks...

Last year was a really good year for farmers. I may know some country folk who plant more grains than they plan to harvest and those plots often, cough, cough, draw the attention of turkeys,, year after year. A couple of productive grain sets, and we do see a lot more turkeys.
Not that anyone would plant crops to attract game.....

I saw another group off a busy road this morning on my way to my daughter's soccer game. They are plentiful and seem tame.

some have gotten use to people....with all the wooded areas cut down around here for new subdivisions they have blended in with the neighborhoods...Where my wife works they hang around most of the day and even come up to the parking lot..
