If you could go anywhere and do anything, what would it be. I have friends who spend considerable time in Argentina killing scores of ducks and literally hundreds of dove. I also know folks who love Alaska so much that they go back every year. But for the ultimate sportsman's adventure, I think I would have to choose a trip to Mongolia to hunt Ibex, Mongolian Elk(the world's largest elk population lives there) and Argali which make North American Bighorn sheep look like midgets. While there I'd also find time for a bit of fly fishing for tiamen which is sort of like a brown trout on steroids. Odd that in search of my ideal sportsman's vacation I should find out that the land that inspired the name for this site may very well be the penultimate outdoorsman's paradise.

I'm not a hunter/fisher, but does living on a sailboat cruising around the world count? I'm sure I'd have to fish.

I guess I'll allow that under the category of beaver hunting. You're pushing the limit though, because we are talking realistic dreams here, not fantasies. Besides, we all know that you really fantasize about vacationing in Roy's hottub.

Either Hawaii or Costa Rica (or both!) for big game fish - tuna, marlin, sailfish. My brother the former hunting guide has connections in Argentina and Africa, so I may have to go there someday should I want to hunt again.
