I have practically stopped hunting because things have gotten so bad in Eastern Arkansas. I am looking for a place to hunt in the timber for next year and would appreciate any suggestions.

I stopped duck hunting in 1983....broke ice in 25 degree weather...promised the good lord if I got out alive I wouldnt go back....I kept my word!!!!..:)
I play golf with several DH's...most hunt in the Miss. river bottom land or Arky...Man, seems like with the water we have had in W. Tn. in the past 6 months if there aint any ducks...there'll never be any ducks...
I use to rabbit hunt, but there isnt any rabbits around much anymore, loved watching the dogs work...same with quail...farmers cleared the fence rows....
I fish and I golf..thats about it for me...

Have you tried that Wildlife Farms there in Arky? They are supposed to be "world renowned" for duck hunting.

and this past season was one of the most disappointing.....Sure, you can blame some of it on man-made "global warming" PURE BS
Too much water, then came the extreme temps and then more water. Course I went back over today to put away boats and motors and winterize everything and there were TONS of ducks. I really think that DU is getting so political that they will say anything about fall migration but at times I did see ducks in incredible numbers....However, this one good day every ten is getting old but I'm beyond hooked so I have to put up with it.
As far as a place to go, I can't be much help. I'm in a deal with a landlord a few guys....not really a club though.....will advise if I hear anything though

Don't thank me, thank Blackie. I merely made a suggestion, he is the one who followed through on it.
I am afraid that duck hunting as we used to know it has permanently changed. The ducks that used to make it down here now seem to stop around St. Louis. I love to duck hunt, but I'm not going to drive 300 miles and pay $500 a day to do it.
