I can not believe that someone in the State Department or the White House dealing with protocol (with any experience) would recommend a gift like this for the Queen.

Hussein is better suited to run the local YMCA than be the leader of the free world.
Well, free world is something he is trying to eliminate.

While I agree it is kinda fun to laugh at BO's missteps in foreign diplomacy; but that's only because of how much shit the BO and the left in General gave Bush for 'destroying the relationships with our allies'. So yeah, stuff like this and what he did with the PM make me giggle.
However: the truth is, I dont give a flying fuck what he gave the Queen of England as a gift. The fact that he obviously did not put much effort into it, frankly, is somewhat encouraging..at least in theory...because he was spending his time worrying over something more important. Of course, when I see the other decisions he makes it is less encouraging, but that's another problem entirely.

No problem. She can just "regift it" back to The Messiah when/if she ever comes to visit him.

Signed by the American Songwriting master Rodgers? And the Queen's old IPOD was almost 5 years old, so she was due to get a new one.
Gifts like this are used to showcase a nation's technical or artistic prowess. The IPOD changed the world. And Rodgers is as good as it gets in entertainment.
Those gifts were absolutely appropriate and and the detractors are obviously Philistines. :spin:

Try again, Polie. If President Obama wants to show off a nation's technical prowess he is doing a good job of showing of China's technical prowess, since that's where iPods are manufactured:

And didn't they invent the IPOD?
That's American technological prowess. I didn't say it was representative of American manufacturing prowess.
But thanks for playing and try again at a future date.
Oh, and Leggie....Obama has been kicking wingnut ass for years and I look forward to seeing it continue for at least the next 8 years. And that drives you nuts. Or nuttier. If that's even possible.

Only in your mind does that make sense, Polie. What makes you believe that you are superior to the rest of us? Keep carrying that water. :tit:
