Is it wrong to laugh at this article about Kiffins Mom?

As soon as I read the "I will eat your children" line I laughed out loud here at the office. I dont know why, but I found that amusing. The question is, what the hell is a soup kitchen?

I met her and Monte at the airport back in April. They are very sweet people. Too bad their son has turned their lifes upside down. They probably would like to still be in Tampa. Yep, Monte will take the stench of this to his grave. You don't do something like this to something that is sacred to so many people and come out of it with your reputation intact.

I posted before that Monte seems to be the sort of person that needs everyone to like him. His son thrives on being hated. Tough to square that circle when the two hitch their wagons together.

We now know there are two Kiffin sons, because somebody found an arrest record for the second one. He was caught breaking into his parents' neighbors cars near Tampa to take drugs and DVDs.

I think it's pretty funny that a) someone would believe an anonymous rant in a paper/web site/call in show...especially one that invokes cannibalism.

and b) that they come to UT because of the tradition and passion of the fans and not expect some hard feelings from a coach that runs out on his contract 3 wks before signing day...whilst trying to take your former school's recruits with him.

The truth is that this woman is trying to distract herself from the truth that her kid is a liar and a thief. He has embarrassed the entire family, his word has proven to be worthless, his handshake is useless. As a parent she has just experienced a failure. It happens to the best parents sometimes but instead of apologizing for his behavior she's chosen to try to make him some sort of victim. Kiffin a victim!? It's clear now why Lane is the way he is. He was raised by parents who let him do whatever he wanted. Shame on the parents.
