I can't believe I took 30 minutes of my time to look this up, but I couldn't stand it. In all of Cy's ramblings about ruining Cy Jr's coaching career because Kiffin didn't allow him to get his master's degree and become "certified", I scrolled through a few schools websites and looked up a few interesting things. (Let me add: Statistically, this proves nothing. There was no method in my madness in the schools I randomly picked -- It does, however, show a pattern that kills his argument)

In no particular order:

Georgia:
(1) John Eason (WR coach) Began his career at Leon H.S. in Tallahassee then straight to F.S.U. as WR coach. No GA post.
(2) Jon Fabris - Coached at various colleges starting out, then served ONE yr. as Notre Dame GA, then straight to full time assistant.
(3) John Lilly - Was H.S. assistant four years, THEN went to F.S.U. as G.A.
(4) Rodney Garner - No coaching experience whatsoever, straight to Auburn
(5) John Jancek - (LB coach) ONE year as G.A., then straight to full time assistant at another school.

Auburn:
(1) Phillip Lolley - 22 years as H.S. coach, straight to Auburn (No g.a.)
(2) Tracy Rocker- Went straight from Auburn H.S. to West Alabama (No g.a.)
(3) Gus Malzahn - H.S. head coach, straight to Arkansas. (No g.a.)
(4) Gene Chizik - Started as D.C. from Seminole H.S. - THEN went to G.A.
(5) Jeff Grimes - Served as H.S. coach, THEN to G.A. post

GA's in most programs are frickin glorified bed checkers. Grade filum, move the sleds, and pick up people at the airport, thats about it. Oh, I forgot about missing out on all that knowlege holding a clipboard for johnny "Grocery cart" Long.

I think you're onto something statistically:
Most of the jobs are to guys who weren't G.A.s.
Possession of a masters isn't important enough to be listed (am I right on this?)
Last names matter for a certain per cent of the applicants.

Could you find the word "certified" and coach in the same sentence or was certified more commonly lumped with a__holes?

I promised myself I wouldn't respond to his bullshitt anymore ... but as long as he is going to make his accusations I can't help but respond and expose him for what he is.

I'm done with it now though ... I just can't do it anymore. I threw my last one out tonight after he called me a "hater" and then threw out some more lies about what he supposedly didn't do or say.

"Certified A--hole" and "College Football" 333 references. and the phrases are used in the same sentences in the first couple of google pages.

"Certified Coach" and "College Football" 792.
But there's a problem. The certified coach often appears in sentences about coaching weightlifting, about track and field and even about motivational speaking.

I couldn't find a certificate that someone works towards as a football graduate assistant.
