Just had a feeling England was going to pull the USA :alc: Should be a great game , can not wait 188 days to go , i hope we both qualify , chances are whomever wins the group could play Germany , Serbia , Ghana , or Australia in the last sixteen for a place in the quarter - finals :alc:

EV, how do you think the US does without Davies and Onyewu? I think they are missing another guy as well.

I was thinking of you Englishvol when we got picked in the group....

Looks like we'll have to embarrass you bloody Brits one more time in front of the whole world...

If by chance you get out of round robin play, If there is any justice, Spain will be the team that knocks you out of the next round...

USA fan here.

One thing that's nice about being drawn in the group with England, is that there will be no shortage of English-language coverage and analysis of the US team available to me.

Honestly, though, the only thing that could have been better for the US team is if we got to play England in the 3rd group game, when they would presumably would have locked up qualification and might look to rest players on cards or some of their regular starters.

As it stands, the US got arguably the worst team in Europe and the worst team in Africa, and ought to get 6 points from those two games. The stadia we play our group games in are all places we played at 6 months ago in the Confederations Cup. They're all at altitude and our training site is also at altitude, and all the venues are within driving distance of our training site.

What is more, the way the brackets work out, we wouldn't face any of the top 3-4 teams until late in the tournament.

NO excuse for the USA to not make it out of the group. None. Should be a fun month.

Yeah but i do not think Slovenia are one of the weakest teams they are technically a very sound team who saw of a good Russian team in the play -offs , and Algeria can give any team a difficult game having seen of the African champions Egypt to get to the world cup finals , i agree with you England and the USA should both qualify but it will not be easy :alc:
